Ryan Brawn said in an interview a month or two ago that he would "Go crazy if (a fan) told him that he had a shot at going in the first round." Here we are, not much time later, and Brawn is receiving calls from Detroits GM. "He wanted to get to know all of the draftees," Brawn said about the calls. "He definitely landed the big one by drafting me," Brawn joked. Just moments after becoming a Cobra, Brawn signed a 3-year deal worth $1,000,000 a year with a 10k bonus for each sim/article point available to Brawn at season's end. "It's an excellent organization and I hope that I can give my all 100% of the time and help this team reach a successful point," Brawn said about the organization. The media was able to get an interview with Detroit GM xlhowner:
Q: what was the biggest influence in drafting brawn?
A: He looking like he was going to be the best positional player in the draft. The Cobras really needed some pitching prospects but with how good Brawn looked we could not pass him up
Q: so how long do you see it being before he's in the starting lineup on the major league squad?
A: 2-3 seasons at the most
Q: so whats your feeling about the trade made to get more picks?
A: I knew there was a few quality players in the draft and I knew I had to nab some more picks to get them.
Q: ok last question what do you predict your record to be?
A: 90+ wins again this season
Spring training begins July 24th.
